I aim to regularly add something new to this website, whether it's a new portfolio photo, a new trip (usually several a year), or a new blog post. I tend to publish a photo to my social media channels once a week.
Contact me if you want to be notified when there's something new. The best way to do that is to message me on my social media channels or send me an email.
This was quite a family trip while my parents and brothers were visiting us at the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016. From a photography perspective, the trip was also quite successful as many of the photos I took during that trip are featured in my portfolio.
I decided to rearrange my website a bit to make it more interesting to visitors. The homepage has been completely rebuilt and now consists of a cool slideshow that is hopefully more inviting. The menu has also been improved so that it will show better on smaller mobile devices. I tried to turn it less into a 'grid' of photos that you see on popular photography sites like Flickr, 500px, and Instagram, but ran into all sorts of problems with the Smugmug features, so I had to scale that idea down a bit. Anyway, I hope it's an improvement.
Check out the gallery in Trips to see the photos I took while in Whatawhata.

This is one of the beautiful waterfalls you come across while walking along the Okere Falls Track near Rotorua. This stretch of the Kaituna River is heavily used for white water rafting and kayaking, and the view I had standing here was interrupted regularly by rafts with adrenaline junkies coming down the waterfall.
