Havelock North, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
This photo was taken from the top of Te Mata Peak, about a 15 minute drive from my home. It shows the Tukituki river winding its way through the valley to Napier and Hawke's Bay.

Hooker River and Aoraki / Mount Cook
It's not surprising that the Hooker Valley Track is the most popular short walking track within the Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park in New Zealand. It's only 5km, but the views are simply amazing.

Crater Rim towards Mt. Ngauruhoe
Tongariro National Park, New Zealand
Taken while walking the Tongariro Alpine Crossing. The tiny people in the foreground put the enormousness of the crater and Mt. Doom into perspective.

River of Fog
Havelock North, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
The view from Te Mata Peak usually features the Tukituki river flowing towards the bay. On the day this photo was taken, the morning fog was obscuring the river. In fact, a few minutes before this photo was taken, even the peak wasn't visible.
